Catherine has been an outstanding French tutor for my son. She has given him confidence and fluency in writing and speaking, and has also instilled in him a lasting enthusiasm for the subject which has delivered excellent results: he has just achieved an A* in French A Level. We have no hesitation in recommending Catherine, and we can't thank her enough.

At the beginning of my second year of A levels, my predicted grade for French was a C. With the help of Catherine, I managed to achieve an A. She is lovely and a great teacher, and I wouldn't have achieved this grade without her.

My son had experienced a major disruption to his education after changing schools in his final year of GCSE and was particularly anxious about GCSE French. In a short amount of time Catherine has been great in building up his confidence. She is an experienced teacher and structures her lessons well for her students. I would recommend Catherine to any French GCSE student who needs support in French.

My son was doing ok with Nat 5 French but struggled with some of the basics and with listening and French conversation. He was most likely on target for a C or at best a low B. With Catherine's help he achieved an A. Not only has his grade improved but she's also inspired him to try Higher French next year. Catherine has a great way with her students and did an amazing job of figuring out where my son most needed help. I can highly recommend Catherine as a French tutor.

Catherine is an excellent teacher who has been very helpful in improving both my spoken and written French. I am a second year university student studying French and Catherine has been a great help in making my language even more advanced and fluent. She has assisted me in constructing a presentation for a French oral exam, which requires a high level of academic French. Alongside this we have spoken about a wide range of complex subjects, during which Catherine has corrected and explained any grammatical issues I might have. Lessons are enjoyable and comprehensive — would definitely recommend!

Starting from a very low, practically beginner level, Catherine managed to bring our child so far in a surprisingly short amount of time that our child passed an entrance test at GCSE level due to a school change. After just the first few lessons we noticed none of the stress anymore. Not only did the French skills improve, but also the motivation and joy in engaging with the language, along with a sense of confidence and optimism. Shortly before the test, our child even said: "No matter how the test turns out, the lessons were great. I now understand much more, and French is actually really fun."
